Easy Christmas Crafts For The Kiddos!

Make a wool Christmas tree with
stacked concentric circles.

      Your little ones can make a bright wooly Christmas tree of their very own this year. Just cut and stack wool circles one on top of the other to make the tree you see here. Of course you will need to thread these concentric circles on a stiff thin wire. Perhaps a long ornament hook will do just fine for this craft. Bend one end of your wire and attach it with a piece of tape securely to a large flat circular piece of cardboard. Add glue for extra sturdiness. Cover the bottom of the cardboard with another felt or wool circle to give your project polish. Now poke each wool concentric circle in the exact center onto the wire until you have just enough wire left to thread through a star shaped button. Hook the top end of the wire around the back of the button; Mom or Dad will need to help with this part.

How to Make Ruffled Christmas Bell Clusters

Pattern and illustrated cluster of bells made with the 
following supplies: cardboard, whites school glue,
Christmas wrapping papers, and jingle bells.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Print and cut out the bell pattern from above using cardboard.
2. Cover the top of each bell with decorative Christmas printed paper.
3. Cut a second version for underneath the bell adding an additional 1/2 inch around all the sides for the ruffle.
4. Glue the second paper to the bottom of the cardboard bell.
5. Take scissors and cut a ruffle as seen on B.
6. Now bend the sides of the bell downward at the dashed line shown in the picture above. 
7. Poke a hole in the top of the bell.
8. String a tiny jingle bell through the underside up above the bell and attach to a wire. 
9. Make another ruffled bell and repeat the steps.
10. Now hang a cluster of bells from your tree branches. Whenever someone brushes against the tree it will jingle.
11. Hang these bells on the lowest branches, if you have pets, you will hear them making mischief around the tree when no one is looking...
